Chris A, I can’t decide if yours is a genuine query, whether you own that website, or what. However, I think it is clear to me and probably anyone else that it is not a site to be trusted. Why? Well, for one it is claiming to sell the Wii console for less than RRP, in a time when stock shortages mean that even the big sites are charging extra. Secondly, looking at the domain information shows that it was only registered a couple of months ago, and that the domain registrant is a Paramjit Singh who has an Australian address. Add to that the fact that the site looks like it was only just built (Google’s cached page from Nov 8th shows nothing more than a template).
In summary, do not order from that site unless you fancy throwing away £180.

Thanks Peter - and please let me reassure you that I have nothing whatsoever to do with the site. I came across it via an Amazon message board very late last night, by which time my judgement was seriously impaired!
I’ve not parted with any money and would urge anyone else to take your advice.
Cheers.

Tip for you all - heard a couple of peopel say that Dixons will have stock at 9am tomorrow morning. I’m predicting that they will be bundles priced around £300+, but if that’s what you are waiting for I’d check them out.
If it helps, you can use the website www.refreshthing.com to automatically refresh the page while waiting for stock to show up. Don’t forget to pause it when you see stock though!
Good luck.

Chris A, fair enough and sorry for doubting you! I think I’ve seen too many spam comments and messages in my time to know what is genuine and what isn’t. Glad you checked it out and didn’t part with any cash =0)

Dixons have e-mailed me saying they will have stock in online at 9am tomorrow and they have 1,200 wiis.
The only thing is they don’t state how much they are or if it is just bundles?? Has anyone seen any at Dixons before and do they just sell bundles or do they sell them on their own and at what price??
November 27th, 2007 at 3:56 pm
hey kev
i was going to get one from dixons, and saw them in stock, but i think they just had bundles 300+
worth a look though, as they might put them out on their own, but t is unlikely because retailers will get more money bundling them.

Kev, I’m almost certain they will be bundles priced at £299-£350 or so. Should be of that value (ie you’ll get your money’s worth), so you could just sell the bits you don’t want on eBay.
I mentioned a site earlier that could help with the site refreshes at 8.59am tomorrow: www.refreshthing.com - pretty cool (wish I owned it! haha).

yep, if you have firefox you might want to try www.pagereboot.com that’s a good one aswell.

November 27th, 2007 at 4:14 pm
Sam, you might find it worth reading through some of the 70 reviews on AMazon. I had a quick look but couldn’t tell.
